Welcome back Ryan!
This month we are delighted to be welcoming back Ryan to the Ambiente family in the position of General Manager.

Born in Macau, Ryan majored in event management at the Institute of Tourism Studies and then had an exciting three year experience with the City of Dreams and Studio City, taking part in event productions and handling some of their overseas entertainers and celebrities.

In 2016 Ryan joined Ambiente Properties initially as Client Relationship Executive, soon moving to the role of Associate Director to concentrate full time on leasing and sales. He found that his organizational and people skills from event planning were a perfect fit for the real estate industry. Over the next 6 years he gained an admiring following among many of our clients whose property needs he supported. After a brief spell pursuing personal goals and trying his hand in the online games field, this year Ryan felt it was time to return to Ambiente. His focus as General Manager will be on ensuring that the company’s daily operations run smoothly along with breathing fresh air into our marketing and sales initiatives. Watch this space!

New Strategic Role for Alex
Ambiente’s longest serving member of the team, Alex, has transitioned to the role of Executive Director. Over the past 12 years Alex has been instrumental in building Ambiente from sole proprietor to the team and operation that we are today. In addition to consulting for predominantly corporate clients’ leasing, sales and investment portfolios, he will play a key role in shaping the future of Ambiente by setting the company’s direction and formulating strategies that will help achieve our long-term goals.

British Consulate-General gathering at Ambiente offices

Ambiente Properties’ offices was the venue for a British Consular gathering in Macau held on Thursday 18th January 2024. Consul information from the Consular team, British Consulate-General, Hong Kong & Macau was given through a short presentation made to a group of about 25 British subjects living in Macau.

Ambiente’s offices provided a relaxed and cozy setting for our visitors. Drinks and light refreshments were served.

The Consular team included Philippa Stroud, Consular Regional Operations Manager, Lawrence Chui MBE, Vice Consul, and Vivian Tong and Rex Yip, both Pro Consul. Organizer for the event was Honorary Consul for Macao Glenn McCartney MBE. Also in attendance were Keith Buckley MBE, Chairman of the British Chamber of Commerce in Macao and Eileen Stow MBE, past Chairman and current Committee Member of the British Chamber of Commerce in Macao. It was certainly a good turnout for Macau’s illustrious MBEs!

This month Ambiente hosted the sixth of an ongoing series of art exhibitions held in our offices. This time we featured the work of 13 of Macau based, Australian artist Denis Murrell’s previous students at the Instituto de Formaϛão Turistica de Macau where he taught Abstract Painting with Tissue for a number of years..

While many of the paintings show textural evidence of use of tissue, others have been painted by those who have chosen not to use tissue and to branch out into their own style and painting medium.

Another year, another birthday

Some of the Ambiente team members got together on 10th November for dim sum to celebrate the birthday of our accounts and admin manager Esther. A happy occasion with heaps of food and much merriment and joking. The meal ended with ‘sow bao’ Chinese long life buns.

Ambiente Properties wins award: Best Property Agency Consultancy, Macau 2023-2024

In June this year Team Ambiente were the recipient of the International Property Awards 2023-2024 5-star Best Property Agency Consultancy, Macau. We traveled to Bangkok to join the IPA’s Asia Pacific conference where around 1000 companies – winners, sponsors and supporters – participate in this annual event, gathering to celebrate the achievements of property professionals operating in the Asia-Pacific market.

Participating companies come from the areas of architecture, interior design, real estate and property development. In addition to Ambiente receiving an award, managing director Suzanne Watkinson, was as a speaker on a discussion panel at the event. “It is always exciting to represent Macau on an international platform, because many people don’t know much about the Macau market, so it’s a pleasure to put Macau real estate on the map”, she notes.Showcase Online: Embrace the digital age! Ambiente celebrates Chinese New Year

After a slap up dim sum at Roosevelt Hotel to celebrate Chinese New Year, members of the Ambiente team made the most of the superb weather to enjoy some sun out on the restaurant terrace. We had our traditional CNY team photo together with props, this year against the rather apt backdrop ‘curtain’ of the towers of Windsor Arch and Oscar Crescent. We are in the property business after all!

Art@Ambiente 4: Solo Exhibition by Giulio Acconci

Art@Ambiente was host to artist Giulio Acconci for a solo exhibition on Wednesday to Friday, 5th to 7th October 2022, from 12 noon – 7pm.

Ambiente was delighted to welcome Giulio to participate in our ongoing series of exhibitions that celebrate local Macau artists.

Over the 3 days of the exhibition many friends, art enthusiasts and interested buyers joined our informal gatherings to meet the artist and view a collection of his large and small paintings and sculptures.

Biography: Artist, illustrator and musician, Giulio was born and raised in Macau in 1972 to a Karen Myanmar mother and an Italian father. He studied graphic design and communication in Florence, Italy. Under the group name of Soler, Giulio and his twin brother had a long and successful career as singers, performing both locally and overseas. Giulio began exploring new different painting techniques from watercolors and sketching to digital art. He continued to work on a variety of design projects, including book cover design, storytelling app character design, as well as performing in films, web series and TV shows.In 2017, Giulio held his first solo art exhibition “Mazu” and earlier this year he held a second solo art exhibition, “Roots”, at Albergue SCM in Macau.
