The Nova buildings in down-town Taipa include Nova Taipa Garden, Nova City, and the newest, Nova Park. They are built around Taipa Central Park which offers a much welcome green space, a sense of serenity and space for relaxation in this otherwise congested residential area.
Under the Park there is a large underground carpark with over 2,000 bays so parking, usually a challenge in Taipa, is readily available and at a government controlled hourly rate that is less pricy than rents for private parking. The Park itself consists of exercise area, gardens to sit out in, children’s play facilities, an open air swimming pool and a dog park.
The location of the Novas is extremely convenient being within a couple of minutes’ walk (in some cases just across the road) of supermarkets, restaurants, bakeries, cafes, pharmacies, banks, the post office, spa and massage and pet shop. The area is well connected with public transport, taxis and buses, which run between the Cotai strip and into central Macau. In the cooler weather its a pleasant 20 minute walk through the Old Taipa Village to the Cotai strip.
Nova Park was opened in late 2014. It consists of 3 towers with 41 to 42 storeys. There are 620 units; a mix of studios, 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments, and several exclusive penthouse duplex units, these range from between 556 sq.ft to 4,028 sq.ft.
Most apartments come with a balcony. Although the bedrooms are small, the pale wood flooring, a standard throughout, gives a sense of light and airiness to the units.
The building’s external façade in contrasting red and blue standard out as a beacon of modernity in an otherwise monotone sea of dirty cream and grey tiling.
Billed as ‘Urban Parkside Living’ by the developers, both the external and internal finishes are good quality. The 24 hour building management extends to offering services such as fresh flower delivery. The clubhouse, Park24, boasts being the first 24 hour residential clubhouse in Macau. Residents are provided with a custom designed Smartphone app. enabling them to make advance bookings for use of the facilities any time of the day or night. “All weather, all hour and always on standby” explains Warren Leung, Director of Property Sales for developer Shun Tak Holdings.
Park24 is divided into 3 themed zones: ‘Aqua’, ‘Terra’, ‘Aero’. On the Podium, ‘Aqua’, there is an indoor and outdoor pool, sundeck, jet spa, gym, garden and children’s play area ‘Terra’ is the game zone, containing the fitness station, party facilities and an organic farm. Finally ‘Aero’ is a triplex entertainment area spread over 40-42/F connected by a spiral staircase. Located here is the Parkview lounge, some pool tables, and banquet and conference facilities.
The strong presence of the open green Central Park, the variety of apartment choices provided by the three Nova buildings and all the shopping and dining conveniences that abound in the area, provide an ideal lifestyle for those who prefer city-dwelling.
