The Nova buildings in down-town Taipa include Nova Taipa Garden, Nova City, and the newest, Nova Park. They are built around Taipa Central Park which offers a much welcome green space, a sense of serenity and space for relaxation in this otherwise congested residential area.
Under the Park there is a large underground carpark with over 2,000 bays so parking, usually a challenge in Taipa, is readily available and at a government controlled hourly rate that is less pricy than rents for private parking.
The Park itself consists of exercise area, gardens to sit out in, children’s play facilities, an open air swimming pool and a dog park.
The location of the Novas is extremely convenient being within a couple of minutes’ walk (in some cases just across the road) of supermarkets, restaurants, bakeries, cafes, pharmacies, banks, the post office, spa and massage and pet shop. The area is well connected with public transport, taxis and buses, which run between the Cotai strip and into central Macau.
In the cooler weather its a pleasant 20 minute walk through the Old Taipa Village to the Cotai strip.
Nova Taipa Garden is the oldest in the Nova series, is made up of 11 towers, half of which face the park, and the other half towards the Jockey Club. Its construction and exterior is simple and kept neat in pink and marble tones. The apartments, from 1 bedroom to 4 bedrooms, sized from 504 to 1,917 sq. ft. tend to be more spacious than their newer cousins, but the lobbies look tired, often smelling of meals being brewed up by the security staff. The clubhouse is also not quite up to the more modern standards in new builds.
The strong presence of the open green Central Park, the variety of apartment choices provided by the three Nova buildings and all the shopping and dining conveniences that abound in the area, provide an ideal lifestyle for those who prefer city-dwelling.
