Ambiente Properties, in conjunction with GW Investment Consulting, conducted the second in a series of investor tours of Hengqin, on Friday 25 January 2019.
We kicked off the New Year with another of Ambiente’s successful Investor Tours of Hengqin Island.
It was another action packed day of site visits to give our delegates a progress update on Hengqin’s development so they could see firsthand how Hengqin is about to change the business landscape in Macau.
We toured several key tourism projects under construction and had an exclusive, hard-hat visit to the future Hengqin high speed train station and immigration facility, designed to handle up to 80 million visitors annually—in terms of visitors and capacity, the world’s largest border crossing.
With several retailers in the group we also took the opportunity to visit one of the mixed commercial and retail buildings at the new border. For the hoteliers among us, we viewed the Chimelong Resort and took a sneak peak at its Phase II construction including the world’s largest marine science museum, and two of its four opened hotels, already the largest hotels in mainland China.
We rounded up the day on the top floor of the new St. Regis for cocktails and canapes.
