Ambiente’s managing director Suzanne delivers a training seminar, ‘Networking for Success’ for the senior management team of the Carrianna Hotel in Foshan, China.

In late January Ambiente’s managing director Suzanne and fellow director Roy traveled to Foshan as guests of the Carrianna Hotel owners.  Suzanne had been invited to  conduct a seminar for the hotel’s staff on ‘Networking for Success’.  Delivered in English and expertly translated by hotel general manager and head of training Cyril Chan, Suzanne highlighted the importance of networking, both internally and
externally and how with some careful preparation, networking occasions can be both more enjoyable and productive.

Arrangements for the seminar were thoughtful and thorough – including even having the title displayed in LED lights at the hotel front entrance!

Hotel Carrianna is rather like the ‘Raffles Hotel’ of Foshan.  Built 56 years ago originally to accommodate Chinese diaspora returning to visit their families in Foshan, it is full of old-world charm; huge wide staircase and corridors and lots of long-service staff.

After the seminar Suzanne was given the VIP treatment – copious delicious meals and several tours around Foshan including ‘Rubbish Street’ (tiny lanes lined with curio stalls) and one of their old pottery factories – Foshan being famed for producing ceramics.
