Suzanne was born of British parents in Malaya and raised in Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan.

Her career during the ’80s and ’90s was spent in the hotel, hospitality and leisure industry. She managed the Crown restaurant group in Bermuda, and was General Manager of the Perisher Valley Hotel in Australia, the Dubai Country Club in the United Arab Emirates, the Ladies’ Recreation Club in Hong Kong and the Tanglin Club in Singapore.

With her background in operations and property management Suzanne became involved in Hong Kong and Macau real estate in the early 2000’s, buying, renovating and tenanting a number of her own residential and commercial properties. This soon developed into helping others do the same. She also identified a gap in the market for properly tailored home search and orientation services for expatriates arriving to work in the area. She founded Ambiente Properties International Ltd in Hong Kong and Ambiente Properties Ltd in Macau to cater to this need.

Over the years clients who leased homes through Ambiente have come back to us for support in buying either for themselves or for investment. Suzanne and the team guide first time investors through the purchase process and then provide tenanting and management services.

The requirements of Ambiente’s corporate client base in Macau covers not only residential but also commercial and industrial leasing and procurement; office, retail and warehouse space. Under Suzanne’s leadership Ambiente Properties Macau has gained a well-respected reputation for reliability, transparency and successful negotiations for their clients. The company has earned numerous accolades over the years including the International Property Awards’ 5-star Best Property Agency Consultancy 2023-2024.

Within the business community Suzanne is actively involved in several not-for-profit associations and chambers of commerce. She is a founding and active member of the Club Managers’ Association of Hong Kong. She is founding President of the Club Managers’ Association of Singapore and one of the founders of the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong Angel Investor Committee. In 2015 she was invited to sit on the British Business Association of Macau’s Management Committee, continuing today in an advisory capacity.

Suzanne is a contributor to various hard copy and on line publications writing a regular opinion column “In Residence”, and a “Home Affairs” feature section. Her articles can be seen on both the Ambiente and the Macau Closer websites.

Suzanne is a licensed real estate broker for both Macau and Hong Kong. She has a BSc. in Hotel and Institutional Management, a Masters in International Hotel Management and an MBA from Cranfield School of Management in England. She has a postgraduate diploma in marketing from the UK Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Besides her love for property, Suzanne is passionate about Chinese furniture and antiques.
